Antique Market in Cold Spring New York

Hyang Sil and I went to the town of Cold Spring this weekend. It's across the Hudson River from West Point and a few miles upstream. We happened upon a small antique market. Cold Spring is a very nice little town that is quite historic. The whole region near West Point has a ton of history associated with it, to include Washington and Knox's headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Benedict Arnold fled across the Hudson near here.

We visited the town of cold spring and found the train station to go into New York City. We hope to go to there this weekend.

Our new car

We have been driving our new car for almost a week now. It's a 2008 Ford Taurus Limited and it's working out great! The car has a built-in automation system that allows us to use Hyang Sil's iPod and bluetooth cell phone. You can control the phone and iPod with voice controls. The car is very well equipped and has leather seats, seat heaters, electric seats with memory , heated mirrors, traction control and a sun roof.

We washed and waxed Saturday night. It rained on Sunday... Go figure.

West Point and First Day at Columbia

Today was the first day that I went to New York City. We all loaded up into some rented mini-vans and drove into Columbia University for our orientation to Teacher's College. It was a great day and very exciting. I will include some additional notes on this visit tomorrow.

Picture Publishings....

All, It's been a while since I updated the blog, so here goes. I've added the pictures to our Picasa web albums. You can reach the pictures for our trip to California at the following URL: http://picasaweb.google.com/nathan.goodall/CaliforniaLeaveAndWestPointPCS. Everything at West Point is going well. I have uploaded the West Point pictures to the following URL: http://picasaweb.google.com/nathan.goodall/WestPointPCS. It's beautiful here and there is so much to do. I'm going to Columbia tomorrow for in-processing. Hyang Sil will stay at the Guest House here on West Point. We just bought a new laptop, so she'll have something to do while I'm away at school. We miss you all!
