This week we did some gas mask training at Camp Carroll, Korea. This training consists of going into a small building filled with lots of CS (tear) gas. It's designed to give you confidence that your mask will protect you in the event of a chemical attack. We do a number of movement exercises (to prove that the mask works even when you move) and then we break the seal and suck up some tear gas. That way we can convince young Soldiers that the equipment really works against foul chemicals.It's actually kind of fun, particularly when you watch everyone come out coughing and crying...
